She Was a Natural Beauty Everyone Envied — Until a Barbie Doll Made Her Trade It All for Plastic Perfection

“You won’t believe how she used to look.” Once crowned Armenia’s natural beauty queen, Lilith Martirosyan’s old photos tell a story few remember 👑📸 See her before the surgeries in the article 👇

There’s a difference between correcting physical flaws to improve quality of life — and turning oneself into a living doll. While reconstructive surgery can be life-changing, as seen on shows like My Body Shame, taking it to extremes can spark concern and even public backlash.

Lilith Martirosyan was once celebrated as one of the most beautiful women in Armenia. With deep brown eyes, sharp black brows, and elegant facial features, she was the image of natural beauty — even winning multiple beauty contests.

But Lilith didn’t see what others saw.

After a short disappearance from the public eye, she returned looking drastically different — almost unrecognizable. The reason? A Barbie doll given to her years earlier had planted a dream in her mind.

Obsessed with the doll’s exaggerated features — huge eyes, full lips, tiny waist, and curvy figure — she became determined to look just like it.

What followed was a long series of surgeries. First, her face was completely reshaped. Then came more dramatic body alterations, including the removal of several ribs to mimic Barbie’s famously slim waist.

Those close to her never imagined she’d go so far. And the result wasn’t admiration — it was mockery, even cruelty. People didn’t praise her transformation. They laughed.

Cultural expectations added fuel to the fire. In conservative Armenian society, such extreme changes — especially from a woman — aren’t easily accepted. Feeling rejected and alienated, Lilith reinvented herself as Lili Morto and moved to Europe, where she hoped to find more acceptance.

She eventually settled in Milan and found a niche audience online, regularly posting photos and updates. But even abroad, criticism followed her. Some Armenians continued to mock her on social media, and her provocative content even led to her original account being banned. Though she opened a new one, she now avoids the kind of posts that once defined her fight for identity and expression.

Lili Morto may have escaped her hometown — but not the judgment that her transformation continues to attract.
