In Miami, Lady Gaga shocked her audience when she called off the Mayhem Ball performance just moments before it was scheduled to start.
“Hi everyone, I’m so sorry, but I have to postpone tonight’s concert. Both my doctor and vocal coach advised me not to continue due to the risks that performing could bring,” the singer wrote in her Instagram stories.
She explained that her concerts involve high intensity and live vocals every night, which increases the risk. Gaga admitted that canceling was a painful decision: “Given our experience with shows like this, the risk is significant, and as you know, I sing live every evening.”
The star added that she did everything possible to avoid this outcome. “I carefully monitor my health to be able to deliver such a demanding performance.“My fans mean the world to me — I respect you deeply and ask that you accept my genuine and heartfelt apology.”
Earlier this summer, the 39-year-old fell on stage during a performance in Las Vegas but quickly recovered and continued like a true professional. And in May, her Rio de Janeiro concert nearly collapsed after threats of an explosion from individuals posing as her so-called “little monsters.” Authorities uncovered the plan in time, preventing a tragedy.
