In his upcoming movie F1, Brad Pitt plays the role of a Formula 1 driver, but not everyone is convinced he’s the right fit for the part. The 60-year-old actor recently attended the F1 Grand Prix in Mexico. While many expected him to just watch the race like everyone else, he surprised the crowd by jumping behind the wheel to film more scenes for the movie.
After the qualifying races wrapped up, part of the track was closed so the F1 film crew could shoot extra footage. Brad was seen getting out of the car, taking off his helmet, and waving to the excited crowd, who eagerly snapped photos.
Pictures of Pitt in full racing gear and smiling at fans quickly spread online, capturing the electric mood of the day. However, some fans were less enthusiastic.
