A 50-year-old woman from Helsinki has created a bright and bold interior in her apartment that reflects her personality and interests.

Corinna’s two-bedroom is located in a historic 1906 building in the city center. It has an area of just over 60 square meters and is fully furnished with things that the owner likes.

Corinna is an active and independent woman. She loves traveling, visiting art exhibitions and collecting art objects.

The interior of her apartment reflects her bright and expressive nature. Furniture and textiles are made in rich colors and patterns. The walls are decorated with paintings, which calm the owner of the apartment and lift her spirits. When Corinna first moved into the apartment, the walls were empty and white – she did not like such sterility. So she decorated the interior as brightly as she liked.

Corinna pays special attention to details. All things have their own unique history and were purchased at markets or antique stores.

For example, in the living room she placed an old wooden mannequin, which she took from an acquaintance tailor, and in the bedroom – a vintage kimono, which is more than 40 years old.

And this quilt is made by the hands of Corinna’s mom.

Also in the apartment you can see a unique portrait of a little girl, which depicts Corinna’s great-great-grandmother. It was made in the 19th century and is inherited in her family.

Despite the fact that the interior of Corinna’s apartment may seem too bright and even repulsive to some, it is undoubtedly unique and reflects the personality of its owner. “This is my home and I feel cozy here,” she says.
