This man decided to surprise his mother by renovating the bathroom in her apartment all by himself during his vacation.
Since the budget was limited, he chose to handle all the work on his own.
There was a lot to do: replacing the plumbing, laying tiles on the floor and walls, and more.
I must say, he did an excellent job! His example might inspire those who are about to take on a similar project.
Here’s what the bathroom looked like before the renovation.
They spent about 60,000 rubles to buy everything needed for the project.
The mother chose the color scheme for the tiles.
First, the old steel towel dryer was removed. Then, it was replaced with a polypropylene one. This was the only part of the work where they needed help from professional plumbers.
Around the pipe riser, he built a box using a metal profile and moisture-resistant drywall.
Next, he replaced the old wiring by himself. He bought all the necessary materials and even a soldering iron for polypropylene pipes. After that, he started laying the tiles on the floor.
Once the floor was done, he installed the new bathtub. This allowed him to continue tiling the walls all the way to the ceiling.
The old sewer pipes were replaced as well.
After that, he covered the ceiling with white panels and installed new plumbing fixtures.
