“From banker to dragon 🐉💵” Tiamat once lived as Richard Hernandez, a conventional banker, before spending thousands to transform into a reptilian being. The contrast is jaw-dropping — see the unbelievable before and after photos in the article 👇
Life has been anything but ordinary for Tiamat Legion Medusa, a 60-year-old from Texas who once lived as Richard Hernandez, a banker with a conventional appearance and lifestyle. Today, Tiamat identifies as non-binary and describes themself as a “real-life reptilian,” after spending more than $83,000 on body modifications to transform into a dragon-like being.

The transformation is extreme: tattooed scales cover their body, horns have been implanted under the skin, their tongue has been split, and their ears removed. Even more procedures are planned, including genital removal, with the goal of completing the full transformation by 2025.
But behind the striking appearance lies a deeply human story. Tiamat endured a painful childhood marked by abuse and later received an HIV diagnosis in 1997, a turning point that pushed them toward radical self-reinvention. Another moment of inspiration came from a dream in early adulthood, in which snakes bit but did not harm them — instead, they injected strength, a sign that shaped the course of their life.

After twelve years of solitude, Tiamat is once again searching for love. Surprisingly, they hope to find someone who is their opposite: a partner without tattoos or body modifications, someone who can bring balance to their unconventional world.

As Tiamat explains, becoming a reptilian being is their way of coping with lifelong spiritual, emotional, and psychological pain: “Having been through hell and back, I remade myself into another species to survive.”
