Reba McEntire Marks Six Years Together as Her Fiancé Pulls Yet Another Perfectly Timed Scare

her fiancé by sharing a moment that perfectly captures their dynamic — playful, loud, and full of surprise.

To celebrate the milestone, McEntire posted a video from a photo shoot where she was posing calmly in front of a plain white wall. Just out of her sight, Linn waited in a nearby doorway. Seconds later, he crept into the room, slammed his hand against the wall, and let out a deep groan that instantly startled her.

The reaction was pure Reba. She yelped, flailed her arms, then burst into laughter, pointing toward the photographer and shouting that she’d been scared — all while clearly enjoying the chaos. The moment felt spontaneous, genuine, and very on brand for the couple.

In the caption, McEntire summed it up perfectly, writing that even after six years together, Linn still finds a way to scare her every chance he gets. She added a teasing note about payback, hinting that she hasn’t ruled out revenge.

The pair’s story stretches back decades. They first crossed paths in 1991 while filming The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw. Years later, they reconnected in 2020 after both appeared on Young Sheldon, and that reunion quickly turned into a relationship. By October of that year, they were officially a couple.

Since then, they’ve worked together frequently. Linn joined McEntire on the ABC drama Big Sky, playing the husband of her character during the show’s final season. More recently, the two have starred together on McEntire’s sitcom Happy’s Place, which premiered in October 2024. They announced their engagement in September.

Pranks have long been part of their relationship. McEntire previously shared a story about Linn installing a towering motion-sensor creature in her bathroom one Halloween, a stunt that initially left her furious — and then laughing once the shock wore off. What started as irritation quickly turned into appreciation for the effort he put into getting a reaction.

Linn has even taken his scare tactics to television, surprising McEntire during a Halloween episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show while fully costumed and painted. He’s openly admitted that he loves testing people’s reactions, though he’s also joked that McEntire herself can be impossible to scare.

One story proves it. Linn once waited in the dark for half an hour, hiding on the floor just to grab her ankle as she cleaned the kitchen. Instead of screaming, she simply looked down and asked what he was doing — leaving him stunned and slightly offended after all that patience.

Six years in, the pattern is clear. Linn keeps trying. McEntire keeps laughing. And somehow, the pranks have become one of the things that binds them together.
