For nearly two years, Brandi Glanville disappeared from public view. The former reality TV firebrand, once known for her sharp tongue and fearless presence, went silent as a devastating health crisis slowly took over her life — and her face.
What fans didn’t see was the reality behind the absence: extreme facial swelling, constant pain, and the shocking loss of five teeth. In 2024, Glanville finally revealed that she had been diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema — a condition so severe doctors warned it could have turned fatal. An undetected dental infection beneath an old bridge had spread, forcing multiple teeth to be removed and leaving her face visibly altered.

“I lost five teeth out of my head,” she admitted at the time, explaining that her face became painfully thin after months of swelling. Eating, smiling, even leaving the house became nearly impossible.
The illness was fueled by intense emotional stress, which Glanville linked to personal trauma and the fallout from her high-profile TV exit. According to her doctors, the infection could have reached her brain or sinuses if it hadn’t been caught in time.

By early 2025, the physical battle had turned deeply emotional. In a raw social media post, she confessed she was “faking it” and felt completely broken. “My face is worse than ever,” she wrote. “It’s literally melted away.” Costly treatments, IV antibiotics, and specialist visits outside her insurance drained her financially and emotionally.
At her lowest point, help came from Terry Dubrow, the well-known surgeon from Botched. He stepped in to investigate what other doctors couldn’t explain, scheduling further testing and offering Glanville a long-overdue sense of direction.

Slowly, things began to change. By mid-2025, her condition stabilized. Dental reconstruction started. The swelling eased. And for the first time in years, she allowed herself to feel hopeful.
That hope became visible this winter, when Glanville was photographed smiling in public again — her teeth restored, her face calmer, her confidence cautiously returning. Fans immediately noticed the difference.

“I can eat again. I can smile again,” she said — calling it a work in progress, but one that finally feels like forward motion.
Online reactions have been mixed, as always, but after everything she’s endured, Brandi Glanville seems unfazed. The smile she’s wearing now isn’t for cameras or critics.
It’s proof she survived.
