Once a man spotted a bear cub coming towards his farm. The poor animal was so weak and helpless that he fell into the arms of the man. Seeing that his life was in danger, Nikolai took him home.
Although the bear was three months old, he looked two times smaller. The man named him Vaska and decided to keep him at home for a while.
After a short time, the sweet animal gained weight and adapted to his new environment. He learned to live among people and other farm animals.
Although Nikolai was strongly connected with the cub, he had to inform special organizations about the case. But both government agencies and zoos refused to take in such a tiny bear and even offered to euthanize it or return it to the wild.
