This rustic property has been in the owner’s hands for many years. After completing a major renovation of the main house, the owner decided to focus on reviving the old, neglected barn.
The first step was to thoroughly clean both the inside and outside of the barn, removing debris and unnecessary items. The interior was lined with wooden paneling and painted in a light color to create a fresh, airy feel. To let in more natural light, a new window was added.
The heart of the barn was transformed into a snug living room, cleverly incorporating a hallway due to the limited space. Eschewing a traditional wardrobe, a unique branch was creatively repurposed as a coat rack. The floors received a dark finish and a protective coating, adding both style and durability. A comfortable sofa bed doubles as both a couch and a bed, maximizing functionality.
A compact kitchenette was installed, equipped with all the essential appliances: a stove with an oven, a small refrigerator, a sink, and ample storage. This area also features a charming dining space, perfect for cozy meals.
Additionally, a small bathroom was created, featuring light-colored decor. It includes a shower, toilet, and compact sink, rounding out the functional transformation of the barn.
