A creative individual has built an extraordinary house with a unique twist. According to “Position” magazine, champagne bottles were used as the main building material for this unusual creation.
The idea for this glass palace came in the 1980s when the builder saw a photo of a strange glass house in a magazine. Inspired, the individual started collecting empty bottles, dreaming of one day making this vision a reality.
Over 20 years, an impressive 8,000 empty bottles were collected to build this dream house. Finding these bottles was not easy, but persistence paid off. Bottles were gathered from restaurants, parks, social events, and even trash bins. Domestically-produced bottles were chosen because their glass was thicker than imported ones.
The hard work and dedication resulted in an amazing architectural masterpiece on a country plot—a house that goes beyond mere function to become a true palace.
Even though the glass structure looks delicate, the house has excellent thermal properties. The air trapped inside the bottles keeps the house warm in winter and cool in summer, making it comfortable all year round.
This unique creation attracted attention from potential buyers, with offers reaching up to one million hryvnias.
However, the builder refused to sell, unwilling to part with a project that involved countless hours and boundless love over many years.
