Shelley Fabares, born Michele Marie in Santa Monica in 1944, started her journey to fame at a young age. Coming from a family with ties to entertainment, she began tap dancing at three, and soon after, dove into modeling and television.
Her big break came in 1958 when she took on the role of Mary Stone in “The Donna Reed Show”. This role made her a teen sensation in the 1960s, admired for her natural beauty and charm.
Apart from acting, Fabares was well-known for her romantic relationships, notably with pop idol Fabian and rock star Elvis Presley. Later, she married music producer Lou Adler, but their marriage ended after years of separation.
In 1970, Fabares met Mike Farrell on the set of “The Interns”. After years of separation, they reconnected and started a lasting relationship. Her life took a difficult turn when she was diagnosed with a severe liver condition. After waiting for a transplant, she finally received a liver transplant in 2000. The experience changed her outlook on life, making her more grateful for every moment.
