This emotional video shows the touching moment a schnauzer named Xiao-Mei cries with happiness after being reunited with her owner, six days after she went missing.
It started like any typical day. Xiao-Mei followed her owner to the market, just as she had many times before. She patiently waited outside while her owner did the shopping. But that day, something unexpected occurred.
Out of nowhere, someone across the street set off fireworks, and the deafening noise startled the little dog. Frightened and confused, she ran off, eventually ending up near a train station.
For nearly a week, Xiao-Mei was on her own. She roamed through unfamiliar streets, desperately trying to find her way back home. Incredibly, she finally found a house she remembered — the home of her owner’s friend. That’s where she stayed until her owner was called to come and get her.
The moment Xiao-Mei hears her owner’s motorcycle engine in the emotional video, she dashes out of the house. She runs straight to him, jumps up on his legs, and begins crying non-stop while he gently hugs her and kisses her.
“She couldn’t locate my house, so she ended up walking a much longer route to a place she recalled.” Then I got a call that she was there,” her owner said.
