Everyone expresses themselves in their own way. Some choose bright outfits, some change their style every six months, and some decide on things that most people would never even dare to imagine. This is what happened to a young man named Evgeny Bolotov, whom the internet has long known as the “platypus man.”
He used to look completely normal: no tattoos, no piercings, regular features, standard appearance. But one day, Evgeny decided to be reborn — literally. His goal? To achieve a physical resemblance to a platypus.
To achieve the effect, he began stretching his lips and earlobes with huge implants, which he regularly replaces with larger ones. His lips are getting longer and longer, his movements less and less comfortable, and eating is almost impossible. But the hero has no intention of stopping.
After the first procedures, he had to almost give up normal food — he lost about 30 kilograms and was diagnosed with anorexia. But it was during this period that he was noticed: Evgeny became a real figure in the subculture scene. He was invited to exhibitions, photographed on the streets, discussed on social media — he became a living art object.
But in pursuit of even greater freedom and recognition, he left for the big city — where shock value no longer surprises anyone. And here something unexpected happened: he disappeared without a trace.
The internet image of the “platypus” fell apart and disappeared, as if it had dissolved into the metropolitan crowd.
Today, we can only guess:
either Evgeny is preparing a new, even more radical transformation,
or he has realized that shock is not the only way to self-expression.
One thing is certain: when you look at his old photos, it’s hard to believe that this man is the same guy who stretched his own face for the sake of his dream of being “not like everyone else.”
