George and Amal Clooney Caught Spinning in Milan — And Everyone Was Watching

Tourists froze. Phones went up. And suddenly, two of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces were spinning in circles in the middle of Milan.

George Clooney and Amal Clooney were recently spotted inside the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, taking part in one of the city’s most famous local traditions.

The couple stopped at the iconic bull mosaic embedded in the gallery floor — a spot every Milanese knows well. Smiling and clearly in good spirits, they performed the traditional spin that locals believe brings luck.

Passersby quickly gathered around them. Some even gave instructions to make sure they were turning in the correct direction. Once the ritual was completed, the surrounding crowd rewarded them with applause.

The custom, often referred to as the “luck ritual,” takes place right in the heart of the gallery. According to local belief, you must place your heel on the bull mosaic — specifically on the bull’s genitals — and spin three times. The act is said to bring good fortune and make wishes come true. It has become an almost mandatory stop for visitors, whether they are everyday tourists or global celebrities.

Because thousands of people repeat the gesture daily, the mosaic has become visibly worn over time. The constant pressure has even created a small hollow in the floor, requiring periodic restoration.

Photos and videos of the Clooneys’ spin quickly spread online. Even Attilio Fontana, president of the Lombardy region, shared the moment on social media. “Olympics in Milan: strange things are happening!” he wrote. “George Clooney and his wife Amal seeking luck at the bull’s spot in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. It’s a Milanese tradition known by locals and tourists worldwide. Good luck, George!”
