When your parents are Iman and David Bowie, the world expects flashbulbs from day one. But their daughter chose something very different.
Born in 2000, Alexandria Zahra Jones — known at home simply as Lexi — spent most of her childhood far from public glare. Iman and Bowie managed to keep her out of constant headlines, even while cameras followed their every move. After Bowie’s death in 2016 following a battle with cancer, the protective bubble around Lexi only grew stronger.

For years, only a handful of childhood photos circulated online. That changed when Iman shared images of her daughter publicly for the first time after Lexi turned 18. The reaction was immediate. Designers and photographers reportedly began calling nonstop, eager to see the young woman — who clearly inherited striking features from both parents — step into the modeling world.
And visually, it’s easy to understand why the industry took notice.

Lexi carries her mother’s sculpted bone structure and natural elegance, combined with her father’s expressive gaze and artistic intensity. There’s a quiet confidence in the way she presents herself — not dramatic, not staged, but self-assured. She doesn’t rely on heavy glamour. Often, her style is minimal, creative, and slightly offbeat, echoing Bowie’s fearless individuality.
But stepping onto a runway was never the plan.

Iman has spoken openly about the darker sides of modeling, about how the industry can break young women down as quickly as it builds them up. Knowing that world from the inside, she firmly declined offers that came Lexi’s way. The answer was consistent: no.
Lexi herself has shown little interest in fashion fame. Instead of castings and catwalks, she focused on education, graduating from university with a degree in art. Today, she paints, experiments with design, and develops her own creative voice. She avoids fashion weeks, skips celebrity parties, and chooses a low-profile life built on personal ambition rather than inherited spotlight.

The daughter of two icons could have chased instant fame.
Instead, she chose something quieter.
And perhaps, in her own way, that makes her presence even more compelling.
