Heather McComb has officially begun a new chapter of her life, and the timing of it has left many people doing a double take.
The actress married actor Scott Michael Campbell during an intimate ceremony in Missoula, Montana. The wedding took place only a few months after she shared a heartfelt public tribute to her former husband, James Van Der Beek.
McComb and Van Der Beek were married in 2003 and spent six years together before their amicable split in 2009. Despite moving on with separate lives, they reportedly remained friends for many years afterward.
While many fans were still talking about her emotional message for Van Der Beek earlier this year, Heather was already building a future with someone who had been part of her life for a long time.
Her new husband wasn’t a sudden romance. Scott Michael Campbell had been one of her closest friends for around 15 years before their relationship became romantic in 2023. Their connection continued to grow, and in April 2025 he proposed during a trip to Montana.
