Alexander stared at the nurse.
Serena immediately stepped toward the door.
“This is ridiculous! I’m leaving!”
“Please stay where you are,” the nurse replied.
Alexander knelt beside Amelia, who was crying and clutching her stomach.
Within moments, a medical team arrived and took her for an urgent examination.
Fortunately, her baby’s heartbeat was stable, but doctors insisted on continued monitoring.

The recording showed Serena entering without permission, threatening Amelia and deliberately pushing her.

Her name was Natalie.
She had worked as an assistant at Alexander’s company.
After becoming pregnant, Natalie received anonymous threats demanding she leave her job.

Now hospital staff recognized Serena from the earlier complaint.
Alexander felt sick.
“Why would she target Natalie?”

Alexander sat beside her.
“I should have taken her threats seriously.”
Amelia looked at him.
“You couldn’t know what she’d do. But now we make sure she can’t come near us again.”
They obtained legal protection and increased security around their home.
Serena later faced criminal proceedings over the hospital attack and related conduct.
Several months passed.
Amelia gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
Alexander held his daughter for the first time, trembling with emotion.
“She’s perfect,” he whispered.
Amelia smiled through tears.
“She is.”
That evening, Alexander received a message from Natalie.

He showed it to Amelia.

Then Amelia gently squeezed his hand.
“Promise me something.”
“Anything.”
