A three-month-old kitten Masya spent the first two days under the sofa. She got out only at night, crunched food and stomped around the rooms, getting used to a new home. And only on the third day she risked leaving her shelter in the afternoon – to the great joy of the owner Svetlana. Masya neatly settled down on the sofa like “I’ll sit here from the edge but don’t pay attention to me.”
Two years have passed since then, and no sign of Masya’s modesty remains. Now she considers herself a full-fledged owner of the apartment. Wherein, the place on the edge of the sofa remained her favorite: here she preferred to free time. Svetlana knew very well about this feature of Masya and never took the cat’s place.
OnceSvetlana forgot about Masya’s favorite place and folded the ironed clothes there – and literally a minute later she collected them from the floor. Yes, Masya was definitely a kitty with character!
Svetlana rarely gathered guests. But this time she decided to make an exception: an old school friend Christina came to the city for just a few days. We decided to sit and remember childhood.
At first, Christina made a very favorable impression on Masya. She let herself be sniffed, then gently stroked the cat – in general, Masya was only glad to see such guests!
Sveta was cutting a cake in the kitchen and sent the guest into the room. Of course, without warning that there is a special cat’s place. It is not surprising that Christina settled down on that corner of the sofa, which Masya rightfully considered hers.
The cat immediately came up, meowed and softly touched Christina with her paw. The girl perceived this a manifestation of affection.
– Oh my cutie! – Christina blossomed. – Do you want to be stroked?
She put her hand on the cat’s head, but Masya dodged immediately and again began to look directly into the eyes of the guest. She even meowed demandingly again.
– What are you doing? Do you want to eat? Go to the kitchen, Sveta is there, she will feed you, – Christina was a little confused.
Masya, of course, was not going to go anywhere. On the contrary, she made it clear that someone else needed to move over.
When Sveta entered the room with a tray, Masya immediately rushed to her with an indignant meow: like saying, look what this unfamiliar woman allows herself, do something!
– Your cat is kind of tensed. Is she looking for a cat? – asked Christina.
– No, she’s not looking for anyone. On the contrary, she discovered something that she considers superfluous. You took her place, – Sveta laughed.
Christina was even a little offended, deciding that her friend was making fun of her. But as soon as she moved over, Masya really took a place from the edge of the sofa. And she looked at her visitor very disapprovingly. At this point, Christina had to believe that the kitty was very enthusiastic about her bed.
