An American Christina Hunger is a professional speech therapist and the owner of a doggy named Stella. Who could think that her specialty would help the girl in the upbringing of her pet? Surprisingly, Christina managed to teach Stella to talk. She used a special device with buttons for this on which various words and phrases are written.

Of course the teaching process was not easy. Christina and her boyfriend Jake had to spend 16 months so that the dog could remember the words and get used to the tool. By this time, Stella could already reproduce 29 words, and a year later the couple managed to teach the dog 11 more commands.

The tool with which Stella learned to “talk” is a desk with sound buttons. A specific command is assigned to each of these buttons, for instance, “play”, “eat”, “walk” and so on. To express some wish or feeling, the dog must press the corresponding button.

So that Stella could learn to understand the mechanism of this device, the owner did the following; every time Christina fed the dog, she pressed the “food” button, and before going for a walk – the “walk” button. The owner did the same with the rest of the commands. Of course, Christina always used the device in front of the dog so that she understood how it worked. The girl began to teach the dog to press the buttons itself in the course of time.

Now Stella has a very good master of the device and expresses its emotions by pressing the buttons. Moreover the doggy understands the words of the owners and reacts to them using the tool. There are even whole dialogues between the dog and the owners. For example, when Stella wants to take a walk, it presses the appropriate button. Getting the approval from Christina, the dog presses the button “happy”.

Christina Hunger is very glad that her experiment was crowned with success, but she does not intend to stop . Now she plans to continue teaching Stella, and to also prepare special courses for other dogs in the future.
