In the past, people outside Australia were not well aware of the existence of such adorable tiny animals, yet, recently, these animals became real internet stars and now no one probably misses an opportunity to take a picture with this cutie while visiting Australia.

It is known that most of their population is settled on the Rottnest Island and they mainly live in clans. There are nearly 12 thousand individuals and most of them can be found exclusively in Australia.
Regardless of their happy faces and careless smiles, they haven’t always been this way. In the 17-18 centuries people because of being ignorant and without the scientific achievement and discoveries, were quite sure they were actually huge rats and feared of them. And now they simply can’t get enough of their charm and delightfulness.
People are allowed to visit and photographing with them, yet, feeding them is not permitted as it can easily steal the amazing marsupials’ lives. As many people try to feed them they start to trust them and happily accept the food, yet that can cause irreversible losses.
