Richard Gere recently sold his property in New Canaan, Connecticut, for $10.75 million and shared his plans to move to Spain.

As reported by New Canaan Advertiser, Gere had purchased the property from Paul Simon and Eddie Brickell, who lived there for 17 years. Originally built in 1938, this expansive estate boasts six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a three-bedroom guest house, a swimming pool, and multiple gardens, all set within 32 acres of vibrant land, surrounded by picturesque trees.

In April, Gere expressed his desire to leave the United States and relocate to Spain, motivated by his wish for his wife, Alejandra, to focus more on spending time with her loved ones. Alejandra, 41, originally hails from La Coruña.

The couple plans to take their two young children, Alexander, five, and James, four, along for the move. While Gere is enthusiastic about this “big adventure,” it’s reported that he will still hold onto a home outside of New York City.
