Alina and Dmitry, a young couple with a great sense of style, decided to take on a big challenge. They bought an old apartment that had the worst renovation possible, with the goal of turning it into a beautiful and functional space.

They found and purchased a 57-square-meter apartment in a building from 1962. Here’s what it looked like before the renovation:

Did you notice the swans in the bathroom too?

The couple was thrilled to find such a space. They were specifically looking for an apartment in need of the most work so they could completely redo it and make it a “candy” of a home.

This was the apartment layout before they started working on it:

After the renovation, this is what they achieved.

In the bedroom, the main feature was the bed, complemented by stylish pendant lights.

The lack of a separate closet in the bedroom was no issue thanks to a small dressing room tucked behind a white matte louvered door.

The guest room, though narrow and long, was carefully decorated. Light wallpaper, a white ceiling, and a herringbone floor made the space appear larger. The room had a desk, a sofa, and a chic closet.

The combined bathroom and toilet became both functional and stylish. A bathtub, washing machine, and undermount sink fit perfectly into the 4.5-square-meter space. Locally sourced tiles gave it a fresh, inviting look.

In the hallway, a built-in closet solved the problem of limited space and eliminated the need for street shoes to clutter the coat rack. Her husband’s work on assembling the closet added a personal touch to this often-overlooked space.

The kitchen, designed in light tones, became a true work of art.

The dining area in the living room quickly became a favorite spot. It’s the perfect place to enjoy sunsets while feeling the spaciousness, even on the 5th floor of an apartment.

The sofa in the living room was integrated so well into the space:

What do you think of the interior? What stood out to you?
