Neighbor said a few words near the fence, I listened, went to work 😌😦 Metal clanged, hands dirty, wife looked later—eyes said it all 💪🔥 Stood there, felt good. Fence isn’t just a fence now. Way in the article below 👇
I want to share a good idea with you on how to use the back side of a fence, if you, of course, fixed the corrugated sheets from the outside.
That’s exactly what I did. I installed posts, put crossbars, and attached the sheets on the back side. I think a lot of people do this, at least in our area.
The fence is old, it needs painting, but because of all the construction work, I haven’t had time to get to it yet.
I didn’t come up with this idea myself, I’m sure it’s something people have been doing for a long time. But I know that many still don’t realize it’s possible.
I’ll explain everything quickly, so I don’t waste your time.
So, I attached a metal angle to the posts and made brackets from profile pipes.
The fence is on a corner, so I set it up on both sides. You can see better in the photo how it looks.
On top, I put a pipe. Now I’ll explain why it’s needed.
I welded it in place, and also added a piece of rebar. But later I realized that it’s better to use a profile pipe instead of rebar—it will be stronger that way.
Now, in our yard, we have a rack for drying carpets and rugs.
Yes, yes, I’m old-fashioned—I still use rugs.
So that the pipe doesn’t bend under the weight of a wet carpet, we hang the rug over several pipes at once.
That’s it. That’s my setup. And how do you dry your carpets? Share in the comments!
