Took the old apartment from my husband’s grandma—walls tired, floors creaking 🏠💥  Thought we’d never make it work. Now I walk in, and it feels like a whole new life 😍🙈 Every corner changed. Showed the photos in the article below—before and after, like two different worlds 👇

This is the story of what happened to an apartment that a young married couple bought from their grandmother and gave a modern makeover. Before the renovation, the apartment had an old-fashioned style, typical of older generations. However, everything was kept tidy and in good condition.

After buying the place, the new owners turned to professional designers to create a modern, stylish, and comfortable interior. A complete remodeling plan was also developed. Let’s see what they managed to achieve.

Project Details

Apartment size: 57 square meters

Hallway

Large porcelain tiles were used on the floor in the entrance area. The walls were painted in a light shade and decorated with moldings. The door to the bathroom was installed as a concealed model, blending with the walls.

Near the entrance, a large mirror panel was mounted, along with a small floating console and a pouffe. On the opposite side, a niche was arranged with a spacious built-in closet.

Kitchen-Living Room

The kitchen was combined with the living room into a single open space. The ceiling had visible support beams, which were covered with mirrors to hide them.

In the kitchen zone, a large corner set with cream-colored cabinets was installed. The backsplash was covered with porcelain tiles. A small breakfast bar with a glass cabinet was placed to separate the kitchen and living area.

Behind the bar was the seating area. The living room floor was laid with herringbone parquet. A full dining area was set up with a designer table and mustard-colored chairs.

One of the walls next to the dining area was painted in a gray-blue tone, making it a noticeable accent in the room.

Bedroom

The bedroom included a spacious walk-in closet separated by a glass partition. Inside, the storage space was divided into sections for both the husband and wife.

The walls were painted in soft gray and muted pink. The floor was also finished with parquet. A large double bed was placed in the center of the room. Across from the bed, a floating cabinet and a stylish dressing table with a small pouffe were installed.

Balcony

The balcony, which is connected to the bedroom, was improved as well. For now, it holds a cabinet for storing sports equipment.

Bathroom

To the right of the entrance, a storage unit was built with space for a washing machine, dryer, and household supplies. Above the toilet, shelves were installed to store cleaning items and other household products. Two types of porcelain tiles were used in the bathroom—one in a pink shade. Moisture-resistant paint was also applied to part of the walls.

As a result, the apartment was completely transformed into a modern and functional space, perfectly suited to the young couple’s lifestyle.
