They Were Mocked for Buying a Rusty Old Bus—But the Jaw-Dropping Interior Left Everyone in Awe

Their friends made fun of them for buying an old, beat-up bus 🚌😐 But after a lot of hard work, the couple turned it into a stunning home on wheels—complete with everything they need 🙈😌 You have to see it in this article! ⬇️

In 2011, a young couple from the UK, Kylie Barnes and Tom Grentham, decided to buy an old bus. Their friends were shocked when they heard about the purchase and couldn’t understand why they would want such a thing. However, it didn’t take long for them to realize how wrong they were.

Slowly but surely, Kylie and Tom transformed the old “wreck” into a beautiful house on wheels. It is now warm, cozy, and has everything they need to travel comfortably.

The choice of the bus was not random. This was the same type of bus that used to pass by Tom and Kylie’s house on route 51. The couple has three children—Henry, Poppy-May, and Logan—so they needed to work hard to turn what was once just a regular bus into a real home on the go.

They had to redo almost everything on the bus. The only part that remained the same was the driver’s seat, which they made a bit cozier by adding a small stand with a vintage radio.

All the passenger seats were removed without hesitation. In their place, they put two sofas. During the day, the kids play on them, and at night, the sofas turn into a large bed big enough for all five family members.

Kylie came up with the design for the bus, while Tom was responsible for making her ideas come to life. He admits that building the kitchen was the hardest part. Tom even made all the furniture himself.

Now the bus is a complete home with everything needed for long family trips: a stove, a sink, a toilet, an oven, and even a shower. They spent about $15,000 to make and install everything.

The interior is very bright and tastefully decorated, with a lot of cute little things that make it feel even more like home. With this bus, the family has already traveled to France and Belgium. However, on their way to Italy, the motor broke down. They had to stay in Switzerland for a while until a friend came to help them out.

Recently, Tom and Kylie decided to put their bus up for sale at an online auction. The starting price is $12,000. The kids weren’t too happy about this decision—they love the bus, especially since it took them to Disneyland. But Tom explained, “We just wanted to try something new and interesting.”

It’s amazing to see that people can still create such incredible things with their own hands. This family will surely remember the wonderful moments they spent traveling in their cozy motorhome for a long time.
