5 ways to wear a scarf that turn heads 🧣✨ Fall is here — and a good scarf can totally transform your look. From a side bow to a cozy double twist, these easy styling tricks will add instant charm (and compliments) to any outfit. Step-by-step ideas in this article 👇
This fall hasn’t been very warm, and jackets and coats are already back in use. But if you want to add some color and style to your outfit, a scarf or shawl is a great way to do it. We share a few easy ways to turn a regular scarf into a cute and stylish accessory.
1. Double Collar
Use a lightweight, medium-length scarf for this one. Twist it a bit to make a loose rope shape. Place it around your neck so both ends hang evenly. Wrap each end around your neck in opposite directions. Tie a loose knot at the back of your neck and tuck the ends inside the folds or under your coat.
2. Side Bow
Thin, soft scarves work best for this style. First, tie a light knot with the two ends. Then, take one end and fold it like a small loop (about ¾ of the way down). Wrap the other end around this loop, pull it through the circle you made, and tighten to form a cute bow on the side.
3. Loose Loop
This one works with scarves or shawls of any fabric. The thicker the material, the fuller the loop will look. Put the scarf around your neck with even ends, tie a gentle loose knot in the front, and then tie the ends again behind your neck. Let the front drape naturally.
4. Double Twist Knot
For this, use a long rectangular scarf or pashmina. Fold it in half and drape it around your neck. Take the two ends and pull them through the loop created by the fold. Then twist that loop and pull the ends through again. Gently tighten and spread out the ends in front.
5. Western Style
This one works best with a big shawl. Put it around your neck with one end much shorter than the other. Wrap the long side loosely around your neck once and tie the two ends together under the folds. The wide part of the scarf should rest in the middle of your chest like a bandana.
