Anna and her husband inherited an apartment in an old-style building. Overall, the place was in decent shape, but the bathroom clearly needed updating. The couple realized they couldn’t afford to do the renovation on their own, so they looked for a specialist through an online classifieds site.
Anna didn’t have a detailed plan for how she wanted the bathroom to look. She just knew she wanted it to feel brighter and more open. And of course, the work needed to be done on a small budget.
In the end, they decided to remove the old cast-iron bathtub and install a compact shower corner instead.
The area for the shower was properly sealed and tiled. The washing machine, which had been kept in the kitchen before, was moved into the bathroom. To protect it from water, they hung a fabric curtain next to the shower.
All the pipes, fixtures, tiles, and furniture were replaced. The entire renovation took 14 days and cost the couple around $1,500.
Anna and her husband were very happy with the final result. The bathroom now feels much brighter, has more space, and is a lot more comfortable to use.
