When a couple purchased a modest three-room apartment that used to be a dormitory, they were eager to renovate it themselves. They started by clearing out the space and even knocked down the wall between the kitchen and living room. But once they reached that point, they felt stuck—especially when it came to making the layout work and dealing with the tiny bathrooms.

Realizing they needed expert help, they called in a designer—and that decision changed everything.

The apartment was transformed into an open-concept space. On one side is the kitchen, and on the other are the dining and living areas. The main color palette includes white and creamy tones, which helped to visually enlarge the space. These neutral shades also make the bold blue sofa, armchair, and dining chair covers stand out beautifully.

To subtly divide the kitchen from the rest area, the designer added a sleek bar-style table. It’s perfect for sipping coffee while watching TV.

The glossy, light-colored kitchen cabinets reflect light and give the room a fresh, airy feel.

The hallway also got a simple but stylish update. White doors contrast nicely with soft sea-green walls and a modern geometric pattern, creating a calm and elegant entrance.

The biggest challenge—the small bathrooms—was tackled creatively. The designer removed the brick wall dividing them and replaced it with plasterboard. This clever move made room for a full-size bathtub. Now, the space feels much more comfortable and functional.

Emerald and white tiles were chosen for the bathroom, adding a touch of elegance and charm to the new look.
