“It was falling apart in my hands—but I wasn’t letting go.” A worn-out family chair got a bold new look with canvas, calm green tones, and a lot of care 🪑💚 You won’t believe the transformation. See the final result in the article 👇
This chair has been part of our family for years. It was restored once before, but over time, it started to look worn out again — the fabric faded, the upholstery tore, and the armrests looked like they were ready to fall off.
Still, I wasn’t ready to give up on it. I decided to give it a second chance.
As soon as I started the restoration, I realized it wouldn’t be easy. The chair was falling apart in my hands — the wood was cracking, the joints were loose, and the old foam was turning into dust.
I repaired the old chair myself and turned it into a stylish piece for our new home.
To my surprise, the armrests turned out to be almost plastic — I always thought they were made of wood!
I replaced everything I could to keep the chair from falling apart completely. Instead of regular fabric, I went with durable canvas — it’s a bit rough, but incredibly strong and has a cool, modern look.
The color change was also unexpected: it went from bright orange tones to a calm, soft green.
The result was better than I hoped for. The chair didn’t just get a new life — it now has a completely unique personality.
I repaired the old chair myself and turned it into a stylish piece for our new home.
And it fits perfectly in the little house I renovated it for. It’s no longer just a chair — it’s a real centerpiece.
