The monarch, still receiving treatment for cancer, shared a rare health update on Wednesday while visiting Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.
When someone remarked that he looked exhausted, the 75-year-old king responded with honesty: “When you’re over 70, things don’t work quite as well as they used to.” Still, he reassured those around him that “things aren’t too bad” in his own case.
Charles emphasized the importance of early detection, saying: “Half the battle is finding it in time. The great thing is that doctors are continually improving in how they handle these situations. There is always hope.”
