1965 brought the world a wave of iconic moments: The Rolling Stones released ‘Satisfaction’, Mikhail Sholokhov received the Nobel Prize, and PepsiCo was just being born.
That same year, several future stars came into the world — such as Robert Downey Jr.… and Elaine Davidson, a woman with a story so unusual that people are still talking about her.

Elaine was born in Brazil, but she prefers to keep quiet about her childhood and youth. All that’s known is that she spent many years working as a nurse — nothing that hinted at the fame awaiting her.
And then a passion entered her life, one that changed everything: body piercing.
The first mention of Davidson as “the woman with the unbelievable number of piercings” appeared in May 2000. At that time, she had 462 piercings — and a third of them were on her face. It seemed impossible to go further. But Elaine was only just getting started.

Three months later, the number rose to 720.
By 2005 — nearly 4,000.
By 2008 — 5,920.
And in 2009, Elaine crossed the mark of 6,000 piercings.

In February 2011, she announced that she had almost 7,000 piercings with a combined weight of about three kilograms. That same year, Elaine married Douglas Watson. The media marveled at the contrast: Davidson — a living showroom of piercings, and Douglas — an ordinary man with no tattoos or piercings at all. But the marriage didn’t last long: within a year, the couple split up. By then, Elaine had around 9,000 piercings.

Her main income comes from her aromatherapy shop. But if someone wishes, she can be booked for events — a service far from cheap, since Elaine has become a cult figure in certain circles.
The last official update on her website was in 2019: 11,003 piercings.
Whether she continues to increase the number today remains a mystery.
