Celine Dion delighted her fans with a rare video message timed to coincide with Thanksgiving. The singer had not appeared on social media for a long time, and her calm, almost meditative message was an unexpected gift for her fans.
In the video, Celine sits on a white sofa and calmly looks into the camera. For the message, she chose an outfit in warm autumn colors: a mustard-colored knitted turtleneck, a chocolate suede jacket, matching pants, and tall brown boots. The singer’s light hair is styled straight with a soft side parting, and the look is completed with chunky gold earrings.
“Dear friends, today is a wonderful day to stop, take a breath, and say thank you,” the singer began. She emphasized that the power of the holiday lies in the opportunity to be close to those you love, even if it is only by phone or in your thoughts. Celine also thanked her large family for the moments that “mean the world to her.”
Dion grew up in a large family, being the youngest of 14 children, and herself became the mother of three sons — René-Charles (born in 2001) and twins Nelson and Eddie, born in 2010. Their father, producer René Angélil, died in 2016.
After being diagnosed with stiff person syndrome in 2022, the singer has hardly performed, but in the summer of 2024, she made a surprise return to the stage during the Paris Olympics. Celine recently attended a Paul McCartney concert in Las Vegas with her sons, and in June, the family went to a Coldplay show, where the singer received an unexpected ovation.
