Megan Fox is once again at the center of a heated online debate, but this time it has nothing to do with her acting career or love life. The 40-year-old Hollywood star has faced a wave of harsh criticism after a video surfaced showing her looking noticeably different from the image fans have grown accustomed to.
The footage features Fox discussing her favorite movies for the film platform Letterboxd. However, instead of focusing on her cinematic choices, viewers became fixated on her appearance. Some speculated that cosmetic fillers had changed her facial features, while others went as far as comparing her to the sinister puppet from the Saw horror franchise.
The reactions quickly turned brutal. “She completely ruined her face. What a shame,” one commenter wrote. Another demanded that the person responsible for her appearance be held accountable. Perhaps the harshest comparison came from someone who declared, “She looks like a clown from a horror movie. Please don’t tell me that’s Megan Fox.”

Other users compared her appearance to Jim Carrey’s recent look, while some questioned whether her hair was real. The criticism became so intense that Letterboxd eventually disabled comments on the post.
Not everyone agreed with the accusations, however. Some viewers suggested that unflattering lighting or temporary facial puffiness could explain why Fox appeared different. There has been no confirmation that any particular cosmetic procedure was responsible for the changes people claimed to notice.
An important detail about the video later emerged: it had actually been filmed in October of the previous year, approximately seven months after Fox welcomed her fourth child. The timing raised the possibility that her appearance reflected ordinary postpartum changes rather than the cosmetic alterations being suggested online.
This isn’t the first time the actress has attracted controversy over her appearance. She previously faced criticism for participating in an advertisement for an erectile dysfunction treatment and amid discussions surrounding buttock enhancement.
Fox welcomed her daughter, Saga Blade, last spring with musician Colson Baker, better known as Machine Gun Kelly. The couple, who had been together for several years, separated while she was pregnant. Although reconciliation rumors briefly circulated after their daughter’s arrival, Baker has more recently been linked by speculation to actress Dakota Johnson. Fox was previously married to actor Brian Austin Green for 11 years, and they share three sons.
