To celebrate Emma and Max turning 18, the 56-year-old star shared a deeply personal video filled with family memories. The montage moved from hospital-room footage — her first moments holding them after birth — to recent scenes showing the three of them spending quiet time together. It wasn’t glossy or staged. It felt intimate. Almost sacred.
In her message, Lopez reflected on the night they were born. She described the heavy snowfall that blanketed New York as if it were part of something bigger, calling it the most powerful and beautiful storm the city had seen. “It was as if God made sure you arrived in a world filled with pure magic,” she wrote. Holding them for the first time, she said, felt like cradling “two angels sent from heaven.” She added that her life shifted forever in that instant. Over the years, the twins have chosen very different paths when it comes to public life.
Emma has been the more visible of the two. She joined her mother onstage during the Super Bowl LIV halftime show in 2020, an appearance that instantly made headlines. She later released a children’s book and has been developing her vocal talents, clearly comfortable stepping into the spotlight.
Max, on the other hand, keeps a lower profile. He rarely attends public events and avoids constant media attention. In 2022, he made a small acting debut in his mother’s film Marry Me, but outside of that, he remains largely out of view. Lopez has previously shared that both of her children are attending college.
Emma and Max were born during Lopez’s marriage to music producer Marc Anthony. The couple divorced in 2014 after a decade together. Before that, Lopez had already been married twice and had a high-profile relationship with rapper Sean Combs, widely known as P. Diddy. In 2022, she married Ben Affleck, reviving a romance from her youth. Their marriage ended in January 2025, less than three years later.
