Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s eldest daughter, Violet, has made an uncommon public appearance while spending her summer in Los Angeles. The 20-year-old was photographed walking through the city on her own.
What made the sighting particularly noticeable was that Violet wasn’t wearing a protective face mask. She has frequently been seen wearing one during public outings in recent years, making the latest photographs a departure from her familiar appearance.

The third-year Yale University student kept her summer outfit casual and youthful. She stepped out in a lightweight mini dress layered with a red knitted vest and completed the look with simple white sneakers.

Violet has become increasingly outspoken about public-health issues in recent years, showing an interest in advocacy beyond her parents’ Hollywood careers.
That commitment also echoes the work of her late grandmother, Christopher Anne Boldt. Ben Affleck’s mother died on June 2 at the age of 83 following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

A Harvard graduate, Boldt worked as a public-school teacher and was involved in civil-rights activism, leaving behind a legacy of public engagement that Violet has continued in her own way.

While Violet generally maintains a much lower profile than her famous parents, her latest solo outing offered a rare glimpse of the 20-year-old as she enjoys her summer away from university.
