It doesn’t happen often, which is exactly why people noticed.
On Monday, January 26, Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick were seen out in New York City with all three of their children — son James, 23, and 16-year-old twin daughters Tabitha and Marion.
The family of five attended a low-key book release celebration for composer and author Marc Shaiman, held at the iconic Manhattan restaurant Sardi’s in the Theater District.

While Sarah Jessica Parker is no stranger to red carpets, fashion weeks, and high-profile events, appearances with her children remain rare — and intentionally so.
For the evening, the 60-year-old actress opted for an understated all-black look, slicking her hair back and letting her sharp features do the talking. Matthew Broderick chose a relaxed but polished outfit, pairing a checkered coat with a matching tie.

Their children kept things casual. James wore a simple gray shirt tucked into black trousers, while the twins mirrored their parents’ low-key style — confident, composed, and clearly comfortable staying out of the spotlight.
Despite their famous last names, Parker and Broderick have long worked to keep their kids’ lives private. That approach hasn’t changed, even as their son James has begun stepping into acting himself.

In early 2025, James appeared alongside his father on the series Elsbeth, marking their first on-screen collaboration. He later described the experience as a dream come true, calling his dad his favorite actor and praising the opportunity to work together.
Tabitha and Marion, meanwhile, continue to live largely outside public view — something their parents have always prioritized.

In past interviews, Parker has spoken openly about the one family tradition that is non-negotiable in their household: dinner together.
No matter how busy life gets, Sunday nights are reserved for family meals — a ritual that has stayed constant throughout their children’s lives and careers.
It’s a reminder that, even for one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces, some moments are meant to stay simple.
