Ryan Reynolds celebrated Blake Lively’s 39th birthday with an unusually personal look inside their family life. The 49-year-old actor opened up his private photo archive and shared several rarely seen pictures of his wife and their children.
The couple are famously protective of their kids and usually keep them away from the public eye, making the new family snapshots especially unusual. One image showed Reynolds and Lively together, while another captured the birthday girl sharing a tender moment with one of their children.
Reynolds accompanied the photos with an affectionate tribute that mixed genuine emotion with the humor his fans have come to expect.
“This day is the Super Bowl of our family. Happy birthday to the best person I know! You’re not just brave and incredibly kind. You’re also unbelievably sweet. I know how lucky I am that you were born. Every time I hit my head, your life flashes before my eyes,” he wrote.
Reynolds and Lively first met in 2010 while working together on a movie. Their relationship later turned romantic, and they married in 2012.
Today, they are parents to four children: 11-year-old James, nine-year-old Inez, six-year-old Betty and three-year-old Olin.
Although both parents have spent years in the Hollywood spotlight, they continue to reveal very little of their children’s everyday lives.
That made Reynolds’ birthday post a particularly rare exception — offering fans a glimpse of the family behind one of Hollywood’s most famous couples.
