Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have appeared in a fresh set of unusually personal photos from their new chapter in the UK. The pictures were shared by Meghan’s close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen, who came to visit with her son, Jack.
Rather than polished royal appearances, the images capture relaxed moments behind closed doors. In one shot, Meghan is holding little Jack in her arms, while another shows 42-year-old Harry down on the floor playing with the boy.
Five-year-old Princess Lilibet also makes a rare appearance. She can be seen alongside Jack in one of the photos, offering another glimpse of the Sussexes’ daughter, who is usually kept largely away from public attention.
Other pictures show Meghan enjoying the visit with her friend outdoors, including a laid-back game of mahjong. Zajfen described their time together warmly, writing: “We’re having the best time. There’s something so special about being in this magical place with my best friend.”
The visit also included a taste of traditional British food. Zajfen said she was won over by the fish in batter served with chips and mushy peas during her stay.
The intimate snapshots come after Harry and his 45-year-old wife returned to England in August following six years of living in the United States. Soon afterward, Harry said he expected the royal family to apologize to Meghan, while friends of the couple said the Sussexes intended to make public appearances alongside the Windsors.
King Charles III subsequently issued a letter addressing the Sussexes’ unofficial status following their return and stripping them of privileges. Harry has also recently attended his first official engagement since moving back to Britain.
