Jennifer Lopez arrived at Milan Fashion Week ready to make an entrance — and subtlety clearly wasn’t part of the plan. At 57, the singer and actress delivered a string of dramatic outfits, moving from old-school Hollywood glamour to head-to-toe leopard print.
One of her boldest appearances came courtesy of a fashion house Lopez has long favored, Dolce & Gabbana. Leopard print, one of the Italian label’s recognizable motifs, became the centerpiece of an outfit designed to command attention.
Lopez turned a leopard-print coat into an ultra-short dress, leaving her long legs completely exposed. She pushed the theme even further with matching leopard-print heels rather than toning down the already striking ensemble.
And she wasn’t finished. The star posed for a particularly fierce photo dump against a leopard-print backdrop, creating an almost wall-to-wall animal-print effect.
For a Vogue event at Milan’s famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Lopez switched gears completely. This time she appeared in a dramatic black strapless dress with an enormous, voluminous skirt covered in floral leather appliqués.
She completed the theatrical outfit with mesh gloves, an extravagant necklace and earrings worn close to the ear. The result was glamorous, deliberately dramatic and worlds away from her leopard-print mini look.
There was also a cinematic reference behind the black ensemble. Lopez’s styling paid tribute to Federico Fellini’s legendary film “La Dolce Vita” and the famous black strapless dress worn by its star, Anita Ekberg.
