One day on his way home Erikas Plukas from Lithuania came across a young moose lying alone at his home gate. The guy told that the sight was heartbreaking. The moose was completely emaciated and she was covered in mud and insects.
Noticing the man she wanted to run away but weakness didn’t allow her to do so. The young man thought that the mother of the baby was most likely shot by the hunters and the cub was left alone and helpless.
Erikas couldn’t leave the animal in this condition and kept her with him. The story of their amazing friendship began on the same day.
First of all the kind man gave the baby food every four hours and slept nearby in order to always be next to her.
When the little creature is strong enough to survive in the forest on its own it’s time to let it go. He didn’t want to let the animal go but he realized that it would be more useful for the animal this way.
You might think that the friendship ended there but it isn’t so. The moose regularly visits his savior up to this day. It looks like that the cutie is already pregnant so Erikas will be waiting for a whole family of moose to visit him very soon which he is so happy about.
