In October 2018 the employees of a Mississippi dog shelter rescued several exhausted animals from their careless owners. One of them was an Alaskan Malamute named Odin. But because of the terrible appearance it wasn’t immediately possible to identify his breed. The dog was immediately taken to the veterinarian and there was a woman who was ready to shelter the poor creature until he recovered.
This is the dog named Odin. The cutie was found in a terrible condition and he was taken from his former owners.
He spent his whole life on a chain and got a lot of diseases.
The dog suffered from a skin infection because of which he completely lost his hair although a huge fluffy coat is inherent in its breed. It was found out soon that Odin also has many wounds, dental problems and diseases of internal organs.
His temporary owner was Sidney Shelkopf who took Odin to her house.
On the first day the dog didn’t understand how to behave in the house. He sniffed all the corners and looked for a catch. Sydney said that at first Odin was just lying in one place and he didn’t know what to do next.
After some time the doggy’s fur began to grow very quickly and not even a trace remained of the wounds.
When Odin realized that there was no catch, he became much more affectionate and friendlier.
The new owner continued the treatment and the pet became more and more prettier.
Now the cutie had the dog collar on only for walks.
Odin has become a completely different dog with proper treatment and care.
He gained weight!
It’s hard to believe that this handsome man was once a sick and emaciated creature.
He has a friend named Thor and they love to spend time together.
Sydney fell in love with Odin so much that she couldn’t imagine her life without him and she decided to keep the cutie.
From now on he is a happy dog who is very grateful for his salvation and the chance for a better life.
