Have you ever confused different types of animals when they were still very small? For instance a guy from Japan had a chance to encounter such a case. Once he found five little kittens near his workplace and he decided to take them to the veterinarian clinic. The young man was extremely surprised when the doctor told him that these cuties were not cats but real puppies. Of course, the news shocked the Japanese but he decided to keep the animals with him until he finds a new home for them. And seemed to be fine but the puppies began to grow up resemble dogs less and less day by day. The experts have established that these are tanuki or raccoon dogs. This was a real surprise!
There is nothing to blame for the people who thought that the creature was a doggy because the little tanuki really resemble dogs. They are also somewhat similar to kittens because of their large ears and small paws.
