A werewolf was found in California this spring! But don’t be alarmed he’s not real. It was just a dog but he was in such a bad condition and his appearance was so frightening that people were simply afraid to approach him. The dog was rescued, and it is simply impossible to recognize this handsome creature after six months.
At the beginning of the year people discovered a strange creature near the orchard of the Madera ranch in California.
They were afraid to approach him and called the creature “werewolf”. At the end of March a local resident posted a photo of the cutie on social media calling for help. Megan Bowie who is the founder of Bowe’s Adoptable Rescue Pups responded to the request and came to the “werewolf”.
The woman couldn’t hold her tears back when she saw the dog because he was close to death.
Megan called him King and put the dog in the car and went to the vet.
The “werewolf” turned out to be a German shepherd he was just very sick and emaciated.
The list of his illnesses was depressing: a broken tail, a broken pelvis, fleas and scabies.
It seems that the dog is already old but the King was only a year old!
Most likely, he was hit by a car and this can be assumed by his numerous fractures. A broken pelvis hindered him to move around to find food and water and the doggy began to dehydrate.
Scabies was contagious so King the doggy lived in a garage in order to avoid contact with other dogs at the shelter.
Megan fed him in small portions so that the dog gradually gained weight and strength to cope with the upcoming operations.
No matter what happened to him the dog was very calm and loving.
After several months of treatment the dog could walk again.
His fur was growing back!
At the end of the summer the King was ready for someone to pick him up.
Just look at this handsome creature and who would have thought that he would become such a cutie.
He didn’t know that the future family had been watching him for a very long time.
Tiana Bisbee, her parents and her sister closely followed the reports of King’s condition and were eager to take him home.
They already had three dogs.
People were afraid that the dog might be scared of his new friends but everything went well.
It took him about a month to get used to the new home and learn everything about his new family.
He jumps a little when walking (consequences of a fracture) and wags his little tail.
There was a party held in honor of his “adoption” at the end of October.
This guy has gone through lots of difficulties but the most important thing is that now the cutie is happy!
