Artist Kelly Graham revealed a unique creation: a mosaic floor made from 7,500 coins. The idea first came to her in 2015 when she saw a floor made of nearly 29,000 coins. Inspired, Kelly set out to create her own version.
Her project quickly gained popularity after she posted photos online, which garnered 57,000 likes and was shared 245,000 times.
A talented jeweler and former turner, Kelly was committed to creating something completely unique. She didn’t work from a pre-drawn plan; instead, she let the design develop naturally, making adjustments as she went along.
The floor, spanning 1.83 by 1.83 meters, took three weeks to finish. Kelly meticulously arranged the coins by age and color, filling the gaps between the intricate designs with medium-toned coins.
Even after five years, the floor remains impeccable. Kelly emphasizes that it’s non-slip, odorless, and has maintained its pristine condition throughout the years. Her work has been widely praised and stands as an example of how creativity and dedication can result in something truly remarkable.
