They laughed, saying a 5.5 m² kitchen couldn’t hold anything 😕😏 But guess what? We packed it all in—even a fridge 😌 You won’t believe how we made it work. We’re ready to challenge what you thought was impossible 😳🤩 See the photos in the article below! 👇
Today we show you a small kitchen of 5.5 square metres (2.2 x 2.5 metres) in which the homeowners have managed to fit everything they need.
Lana and her husband have been dreaming of a new kitchen for a long time. The old one was small and uncomfortable. They wanted to create a cosy and functional space that would meet their needs.
They faced a difficult task: how to fit all the appliances and furniture they needed into a small kitchen. They thought long and hard and considered different options. Finally, they found a solution that was not only efficient but also original. We are absolutely delighted with what they have done!
First of all, they decided to replace the front door with a more modern model with glass inserts. This made the kitchen look brighter and more spacious. The door naturally opens onto the hallway so as not to lose space in the kitchen.
The table is round, which is also a great solution for small spaces (although you could have gone for a smaller one).
Then they started to design the kitchen set. The couple wanted it to be spacious and easy to use. As a result, they chose the option with built-in appliances and engineered stone worktops.
The kitchen fronts are white. This colour makes the kitchen look more spacious. The old sink has been replaced by a built-in fridge.
Above the fridge is space for an electric water heater.
The sink and worktop are made of stylish dark coloured artificial stone.
That’s just great! By the way, notice how stylish the tiles on the floor are.
And now we move on to the most interesting part of the kitchen. The owners removed the window sill and the radiator and extended the countertop there. Thus, there was room for a built-in microwave (although it would have been better to install it to the left in the neighboring block of furniture and above, so as not to constantly bend over).
And the radiator was installed closer to the table.
As a result, Lana and her husband created a cozy and very functional kitchen that meets their wishes. They did a great job and are very happy with the result.
This renovation is a great example of how you can squeeze the most out of even 5.5 square meters of space!
We hope that you have found for yourself interesting options for furniture layout in a tiny kitchen and will be able to realize all your wishes in the renovation!
