The moment when an elephant herd is endeavoring to save the hapless injured calf can affect absolutely each of you. The calf was probably hit by an express car and got deeply hurt. That scene shows the baby elephant lying on the ground hardly able to make a move. The elephant herd did their best to rescue the baby, yet all their attempts proved to be totally useless.
Initially, there were two adult elephants surrounding the calf, perhaps the baby’s parents. They did everything possible to rescue him not giving up on hoping for the best.
The witnesses of the scene got highly surprised by the elephant family’s gentle heart and unsparing efforts to help their poor baby. The people that saw the incident, immediately called the help center but, misfortunately, they were not able to do anything but to watch the process as the mother elephant was strongly against the fact that someone could appear beside her suffering baby. She couldn’t bear anyone near the calf, thus the rangers couldn’t get a chance to, at least, approach to the elephant.
The genuine emotions and maternal instincts of the mother elephant were out of this world! She was actually suffering realizing that she couldn’t do anything to bring her baby to life. It was high time to say goodbye to each other. The number of such tragic accidents can easily decrease once the car drivers perceive that their actions can actually cause losses.
