🧽🤢 Threw those sticky, smelly sponges in the trash—made my own scrubber from stuff lying around 🪡 Plates shine, grease gone, and I didn’t spend a penny 🙈 Works better, lasts longer. How I did it—showing in the article below 👇🔥
Are you fed up with regular sponges and disposable cleaning cloths that fall apart quickly and don’t clean dishes properly? I want to tell you about a simple but surprisingly effective trick—a dish sponge made from old tulle!
I used to be like most people and washed my dishes with ordinary sponges.
But they got dirty fast, became slimy and gross, and I had to keep buying new ones. I tried using disposable cloths, but they didn’t always clean greasy pans or stubborn food stains. I even boiled my sponges to freshen them up, but that didn’t really help.
Then, one day, a friend shared her little kitchen secret. She washes her dishes using… tulle fabric! At first, I thought it sounded odd. But I gave it a try—and I was shocked by how well it worked!
The tulle lathers up easily with soap, scrubs off grease, stains, and leftover food like a pro. It doesn’t fall apart, it stays clean, and it lasts way longer than store-bought sponges. And the best part? It saves money!
Making a tulle sponge is super simple:
Cut a small piece of tulle.
Fold it in half.
Tie the middle with string.
That’s it—it’s ready to use!
Now, I only use this sponge to wash dishes, and I’m really happy with it.
It cleans well, holds up for a long time, and doesn’t cost much at all. You should give it a try—I think you’ll like it as much as I do.
What kind of sponges do you use for dishes? Have you tried anything like this? Let me know in the comments!
