Even an old apartment can smell amazing with this simple trick from Korea ☝️🍊 No more musty odors! I discovered a homemade freshener that Koreans swear by—and I tried it myself without any regrets 👍 Find out how to make it in the article below 👇
Keeping a pleasant smell in an old apartment or house can be a challenge, especially if mustiness has settled in. However, I recently learned a simple and effective way to freshen up any space, thanks to a wonderful trick used in Korea. Today, I want to share this tip with you!
In Korea, people often live in small apartments, yet their homes always smell amazing. What surprised me most is that they don’t spend money on commercial air fresheners or fragrances. Instead, they use a natural method that leaves a light and pleasant scent without being overwhelming.
This Korean trick doesn’t mask bad odors like aerosol sprays do. Instead, it makes the room smell naturally fresh and clean. Here’s how to do it:
What You’ll Need:
Lemon peels
Orange peels
Coffee beans
Cardamom (optional)
How to Make It: Whenever I buy lemons or oranges, I save the peels instead of throwing them away. After drying them, I grind them into a fine powder using a grinder.
Then, I add a handful of coffee beans and a pinch of cardamom (if available).
Next, I put this mixture into small cloth bags, tie them nicely, and place them around the house. The aroma spreads quickly, filling the space with a delicate and refreshing scent that completely eliminates any mustiness in just an hour or two.
Quick Freshening Tip: I also learned another quick fix from a wise old Korean. If you need to freshen up a room quickly, especially before guests arrive, try this trick:
Mix some freshly squeezed orange juice with a bit of hand sanitizer, shake it well, and spray it around the room. Instantly, the space will smell like a fresh orange grove!
Since sharing this tip with my friends, they’ve all been using it and love the results. I highly recommend you try it too, especially since it costs almost nothing!
Wishing you a home that always smells wonderful!
