I take burned-out LED bulbs and bring them back to life, making them last almost forever! đĄđ§ The best part? đ€ The process is so simple that even a high schooler can do it with just a few basic steps! đđ Know more in this article đ
If a light bulb stops working, donât worry! Fixing it is easier than you might think, even if you donât know much about electricity. Hereâs a simple way to repair an LED bulb so that anyone, even a student, can do it.
1. Take the faulty LED bulb and remove the plastic cover. If it doesnât come off easily, use a knife to carefully pry it off.
2. Look closely at the LEDs inside. The damaged one will either be darker than the others or have a small black spot. You can check an example in the image.
3. Use a knife to carefully remove the burnt-out LED.
Now, just connect the two contacts where the LED was by soldering them together. You can see how it looks in the picture.
Thatâs all there is to it! Now, test the bulb to see if itâs working again.
Some people might think that removing an LED will put extra stress on the remaining ones and cause them to fail sooner.
But thatâs not true. To explain it simply, the LED bulb has a small circuit inside, called a driver, which adjusts the power based on how many LEDs are connected.
So, if there are fewer LEDs, the circuit lowers the voltage accordingly. Thereâs nothing complicated about it.
Additionally, you can drill small holes in the part of the bulb where the circuit is located. This will improve cooling, helping the bulb last much longerâalmost forever!
